About me
I live, write, and work in the greater Philadelphia area. I have an MA in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University (2014) and a BA in Queer Studies from Mills College (2011). I recently enrolled in the UX Writing Academy Training Program, and will earn my certificate this fall.
I co-led the Bay Area Trans Writers Workshop from 2015-2017 and the West Philly Queer/Trans Writing Workshop from 2017-2018, and have hosted numerous readings and workshops over the years, including private and small group lessons spanning multiple genres. These days I run Sit & Write, which you can learn more about here.
My work has appeared in Bat City Review, Trans Homo… Gasp!, and The Walrus. I was a 2012 Lambda Literary Fellow and once won a Literary Death Match with a true story about queer punk cannibalism. I have been interviewed for Waves Breaking and Queer Words. My chapbook, Dead Dad Club, was published by Nomadic Press in 2017.
I am currently working on a few pieces of short fiction, as well as my first novel, a story of queer and trans survival in a San Francisco-inspired techno-dystopia. When I’m not writing, I’m baking gluten-free cakes, cookies, and other goodies. In a past life, I was a photographer.
